Raw Canvas

It's not often we venture into Yaletown anymore as we get a little overwhelmed with the Range Rover set, but tonight we met some friends at Raw Canvas and it was worth it.  A tapas lounge, wine bar and art studio all rolled into one, this small space focuses on providing a creative outlet for people who want something a little different on a date night etc.  We sampled the charcuterie plate including chorizo rioja and french salami from Oyama on Granville Island and paired it with Blue Mountain pinot blanc which was fantastic. Even though the wine didn't loosen up our creative juices this time, we witnessed a number of people painting happily away and have to admit that in a section of the city sometimes lacking an authentic feel, this seemed pretty genuine.  More pics after the jump.
