AJ Fosik's Feral Sculptures

Portland based artist AJ Fosik has created some out-of-this-world sculptures based in fantasy depicting fictitious hyperbolic Gods. Titled 'Time Kills All Gods' this is more a commentary on humankind's creativity and less about religious ideology. To us this is an amazing example of one man's ingenuity and craftsmanship. While exploring primal themes, Fosik's art is well crafted in his own words “every piece undergoes full woodshop gestation. I build an entire wooden skeleton from 2x4’s and framing nails, on top of that goes plywood and gold screws forming muscle and sinew, another layer of wooden flesh over that and finally I skin the beast with luan chips.” So yes we're frightened and intrigued at the same time and isn't that what art is all about? More art after the break.
