1Q84

We had heard about the Japanese bestseller 1Q84 by revered author Haruki Murakami a while back and were pretty interested due to it's great reviews and oddly intrigued by the quirky ode to George Orwell's classic 1984. A long-awaited and epic novel set in 1984, this book deals with loss, isolation, love and modern vices all while straddling the lines between reality and an ever increasing dream-like world. The praise for this opus is overflowing and a bonus for buying the actual hardcover book is that it has a beautiful jacket design and in this age of electronic print, we have to champion the marriage of high quality graphic design & classics in the making.
