FlyNano

This is definitely topping our "if money was no object" Christmas wish list this year. Ten years ago, Finnish aeronautical engineer Aki Suokas envisioned a light weight one person aircraft for pleasure use. A decade on, he has just launched the FlyNano. Made almost exclusively out of carbon fibre, it weighs in a hair under 150lbs, so some countries you don't need a license to fly it. That being said, we highly recommend some flying lessons. The version we are showing you is the 20kw electric version, which will start shipping sometime in early 2012. At roughly $45,000 it ain't cheap, but you have to remember you're buying a plane. How many of your friends can say they own a plane?
