Unity

Needing an engineering degree to hook up the new TV to your sound system, Blu-ray and gaming system is incredibly frustrating and archaic. Leave it to the brains at Sony and Apple to come up with a way to simplify the process and in turn better our lives. The mind behind Apple's Audio Lab has devised the obvious answer, aptly  naming it Unity, which integrates the soundbar, subwoofer, and Blu-ray player into one unit and connects to the TV with a single cable. What has us scratching our heads is that the partner in this brainchild is a former Sony Engineering executive, as Sony is notorious for having over complicated entertainment set-ups and poor user interfaces. Such as it is, the ease of Apple design combined with Sony technology apparently results in the fact that you can unpack the TV and be set-up in 15 minutes, which used to be the time you used to simply program the remote alone.
