Pat LaFrieda's Big App for Meat
Vegetarians we are not. We have taken to heart the life advice from Anthony Bourdain when he said that all vegetarians should be looked at with equal parts contempt and suspicion. Anthony Bourdain also introduced us to the to the carnivore fantasy that is LaFrieda's...wholesaler of and home to the best cuts of meat, arguably, on the face of the earth. He caters to the best restaurants in Manhattan, and now we, the little people outside the centre of the universe, can have access to a small morsel that is LaFrieda Wholesale Meats. Essentially what you're getting, is an encyclopedia of over 200 cuts of beef, pork, lamb, veal, turkey, chicken and duck, with over 50 minutes of video that teach you traditional butcher techniques, like frenching a rack of lamb. If you're lucky enough to live in the US, you can even purchase meat directly from the source through the app itself. It's only $7.99, and available on iTunes.
