Porsche at the Techno Classica - Essen Germany

So...we should first tell you the the Techno Classica is the world's largest classic car show. We should also tell you that many contemporary luxury and sportscar marks choose to attend to showcase some of their past and classic models. Porsche Classic, the Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG department, the department that is responsible for the repair, maintenance, restoration and genuine parts supplier to classic Porsche road vehicles, will be attending the event this year. As a highlight to their attendance, they are celebrating the 40th birthday of legendary 911 Carrera RS, and are doing this by removing from the museum and putting on display a 1973 Porsche Carrera RSR (pic after the break) and unveiling a recent restoration of a 911 Carrera RS 2.7 (variation of shown above). If you have the time, and happen to be in the area, this is an event that we highly recommend you attend. We are hoping that one day to own the Carrera RS ourselves, however, with the few on the road rarely changing hands, and fetching in excess of $400,000, we think we'll be relegated to just attending car shows like this one.
