Tom Sachs x Nike = NikeCraft

Prolific artist Tom Sachs joined forces with sportswear juggernaut Nike and created a limited edition collection of spacey (literal) clothing to be released in conjunction with his Space Program project, his gallery show of a 4 week trip to Mars. Using material that is familiar to NASA, and that have never before been used in sportswear. The collection is comprised by some nice lightweight bags from the Ortho fabric (used on the outer shell of spacesuits), the Mars Yard shoe made from Vectran fibre (same material used on the Mars Rover landing airbags), and the golden Marsfly jacket which resembles the gold foil on the outside of the lunar lander. Available through the Tom Sachs website store here. More pics after the jump.
