Book - The Sisters Brothers

We originally posted this in January, but we think it bears repeating as we just finished giving it a re-read and feel even stronger that this is a must read. The book is incredibly well written, and being that it is a period piece set in the classic Western setting, the vernacular and pentameter of speech is nailed with such precision; it just makes it super fun to read. The book is equal parts comedy and tragedy, and bridges these two worlds effortlessly. In terms of theme, we will tell you this; two brothers (with the surname Sister) tied together through blood, both familial and literal, trekking across the wild frontier performing nefarious jobs for their employer, the Commodore, and in doing so coming to terms with who they are and what they have become. At fine book retailers everywhere.
