Warby Parker Presents: Ocean Avenue

We honestly can't say enough good things about Warby Parker. They are a trifecta of perfection when it comes to a business model; 1.) make a well made, beautiful and desirable product, 2.) make it affordable to get it in the hands of everyone, while at the same time sending the message that you're not about profit at all cost, and 3.) add a charitable component, essentially making the transaction between the company itself and the customer a charitable event. As if all this wasn't enough, they are never content to rest on their laurels, and continue to update their product lines with newer frame styles and colourways. For the summer season, Warby Parker has turned to the cult classic film The Warriors for inspiration; a film that charts the inter-borough rivalry of New York City gangs as they rumble their way to Coney Island over the course of one long night. The above short film captures the feel of a bygone and lawless summer nicely, complete with the Coney Island dance-fight scene that any rumble movie can't do without. It also features prominently Warby's new collection of eye wear. We're partial to the new Cream Soda and Driftwood colourways, but are having a hell of a time choosing the frames that suit us best. Being that we love being charitable, we may just order two pairs. You can see and learn more at warbyparker.com.
