Sora Electric Motorcycle

It's been pretty hard for us to get on the electric vehicle bandwagon.  It's not that we have a problem being green and environmentally conscious.  It's just that environmentally friendly or green generally translates to boring or ugly.  The Nissan Leaf and Chevy Volt are a case in point.  However, we saw this, and wanted it more than that Harley we've been coveting since highschool.  The Sora Electric motorcycle is an exercise in simplistic beauty.  The bike is completely electric, and good for a top speed of 193 km/h with a total range of 300 km.  The average commute is only 30 km per day, so the charge is good for two whole weeks of Monday to Friday use, or one week commuting and then the weekend testing the top speed.  Either way, with gas hovering close to $1.40 per litre, this electric thing is looking better and better all the time...but with the $44,000 price tag, they're just not quite there yet to convince the masses.  More pics after the jump.
