Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

We bought this on a whim (to be honest, we dug the cover art) and after getting two chapters in we had a hard time putting it down. It has easily slid into our top ten favourite books of all time, which is saying something considering it is the authors first published work. It runs the gamut of entertainment, and one could dismiss it as a pulpy entertaining read, but beneath the slick veneer is discussions on virtual relationships, corporate takeover of the internet, privacy issues, and tons and tons of eighties references. It's a post apocalyptic dystopian future book perfect for our times, and is well worth mentioning along such great authors as Orwell, Dick or Bradbury. Available wherever the sell books.

  1. Ready Player One is by far one of the best dystopian books I've ever. This book was unlike anything I've ever read before. I can't wait to read Armada, the movie rights have been already sold to Universal Pictures. I can't recommend Ready Player One enough!
