Glitch Throw Pillows
In a hunt to refresh the sad pillows that adorn our sofa, we came across the Glitch Throw Pillows. Coming in a plethora of patterns and colours that resemble some of the graphic glitches one gets from their video games. Go here to Society6 to see the whole collection and get yours.
Trailer - Django Unchained
Here is trailer 3 for the Tarantino epic Django Unchained. Only a few more sleeps until Santa delivers this in theatres.
2014 Porsche Cayman
Minor improvements over time to an already successful design is the Porsche way...and they have not strayed from that model in the "redesign" of the Porsche Cayman. Essentially the little brother to the 911, and an easier entry financially into the Porsche family, the Cayman is by no means the inferior. As capable in many categories, and even more capable in some when compared to the iconic bigger brother, the Cayman is, in every respect, the true enthusiasts sports car. The 2014 refresh sees an aesthetic refresh for a more aggressive stance, facia and rear end, with the side air intakes even more prominent than before. They are available for pre-order from your local Porsche dealer.
Nike NSW Free Run +2 Woven NRG Pack
We are of the opinion that the Nike Free concept is the best adaptation applied to a sneaker since Nike Air in the 80's. We should preface that by saying we have no clue as to whether the shoe works as part of the whole "barefoot" concept, but what we can say is that they are by far the most comfortable sneakers made by mankind thus far. We are absolutely smitten with the above NSW colourways that have dropped for the holiday season, eschewing the usually loudness that one finds in a trainer or runner for a more subdued monochromatic look....along with a modern interpretation of the iconic speckled sole. Our favourite sneaker haunt Livestock has them, and we are getting one in every colour.

Hoist iPad Case
Oh the gray beauty that is this case, how we covet accessories from All Saints. There is nothing ground breaking in terms of design but the simplicity is key here. Available here.
Step Brass Earrings
Straight from London, these Step Earrings are hand cut from sheets of brass and are pretty on point with the geometric design and modern detailing. Oh and the promo photography is kind of eye catching too. Available here.

The Rolling Stones - Doom and Gloom
Finally...a proper video treatment for the topical new single from the Rolling Stones new greatest hits package aptly titled "Grrrr." Two interesting tidbits regarding said video; it stars Noomi Rapace of the original Girl With The Dragon Tattoo fame or Prometheus if you're not into that whole foreign film thing, and the video is definitely NSFW.
2013 Cadillac ATS
We don't go in for American cars very often, and even less often are we impressed with a Cadillac, CTS-V aside that is. However, after being inundated with an advert blitz that has us intrugued with the travels of two fun loving dudes and their ATS, as well as seeing the sexy pic above is causing us a moment of pause. Coming in the various trims, from 272 to 321 horsepower, and supplied to either an auto or six speed manual transmission dishing power to the rear wheels, we suspect that this is a pretty fun car to drive...definitely not the stodgy cadillac seen in every second parking space at the golf and country club. They've even done away with the faux finishes in the interior, opting for real wood, carbon fibre, or aluminum...depending on your preference. Our pick would be the 2.0L turbo mated to the six speed manual...which in our opinion would be the light and peppy choice....but still being economical if you can keep your right foot off the floor. Out now...and starting at $33,000.
Nixon x Barneys
Now that American Thanksgiving in finished and black friday is upon us, the holiday shopping season is in full effect. This means new product lines, new devices, and super awesome collaborations, like the one above with the fabled department store Barneys, and the ever popular and ever increasing price point watch company Nixon. If this is something that you might be interested in, you can go here to see more.

Herschel Supply Co. Novel Duffel
...and yet another awesome Vancouver based product. If we didn't know better, and we do, then we'd say Vancouver is a pretty f@#$in' cool place to be. We are always hunting for a new bag, but being wallet conscious consumers, our wants don't always seem to meet up with our needs. With Herschel, that never seems to be a problem, as they are priced so well you're almost embarrassed to tell your mates how little you paid. But don't let that price fool you, as they're every bit as cool, well built, and feature laden as their contemporaries. You can see and learn more here.
Hekseskudd Landing Tray
We find some of the most simple actions and objects in life to be the most satisfying. Take coming home from a hard day at the office, and having an elegant place to drop your daily carry and charge your mobile. This is why we love the Landing Tray by Vancouver's Hekseskudd. A better tray for your detritus has never been created. You can see more and order yours here, and while you're there, have a look at all the other great wooden pieces they make.
Symbol Audio Modern Record Console
When we were younger we had some friends whose parents were obviously hard chargers back in their heyday, sporting a wet bar in the rumpus room downstairs and a slick all-in-one record console that did double duty as a stately piece of modern furniture. We coveted those consoles, and spent many hours playing DJ, spinning the classics on those consoles. We unfortunately never owned one. Symbol Audio obviously thinks there is something there in the all-in-one console, and has opted to bring them back, albeit in a far superior form than our friends parent's antiquated hi-fi. Made from only the best solid American walnut, and sporting a turntable and visually stunning tube amplification system, but with the modern convenience of wi-fi for streaming from your hand held device. But...before you get all set to order yourself one, just make sure you have a spare 18 grand in your chequing account, as these bad boys don't come cheap. More info available here.

Donna Wilson Nos Da Blanket
Right now with the lightening, wind and overall crappiness of the weather outside we are scrounging for just the right blanket to wrap up in. What we wouldn't give for a Donna Wilson Nos Da blanket. Meaning Goodnight in Welsh, these blankets are woven in Wales using traditional methods but are completely modern in their colour combinations and patterning. Available here.

Sled Ornaments
We feel in a festive mood so we'll round out today's posts with this little find from Henderson Dry Goods. Apparently every year they design a limited edition set of ornaments based on a Canadian theme and this year it includes sledding. Made of birch bark veneer, these are sold as a set of three and are available here.
SkLO Antler Treetopper
Samuel Adams 10th Anniversary Utopias
This is rarer than a Chateau Lafitte Rothchild, and a fraction of the price...and at 29% alcohol and being more cognac or brandy than actual beer, you see why the folks at Sam Adams are even reluctant to call this a beer. Being a blend of multiple batches of beer, including the original '93 triple bock, the Utopias is aged in rum, bourbon, and port barrels. According to Sam Adams, Utopias is full of elegant, dark fruit aromas: fig, chocolate, raisin, vanilla, and a slight spice. Being limited to 20,000 bottles, this will not be easy to get your hands on, and at $190 a bottle, we doubt very much you're going to chug this while watching the game. A finer beer retailers, however we are having a difficult time ourselves finding one.

Plants & Animals - The End Of That
Plants and Animals are our latest music obsession. We're huge fans of their album release titled "The End Of That," and smitten with the video for the title track. A song about drug addiction is nothing new in the rock world, but this is the happiest sounding tune about such a dark subject matter that we have ever heard. The album is currently available through iTunes.
Lytro Living Filters
We originally posted the Lytro camera over a year ago...which is a depth of field camera that allows you to focus anywhere in the image after the picture has been taken. Truly ingenious piece of kit that takes the idiot out of the photography. In keeping with the wants and needs of the hipster crowd, Lytro has introduced what they call living filters, which are essentially software filters that are applied to the photo once uploaded to the Lytro software on your computer. The Lytro camera is out now, and if you order now, you can get yours before the holidays. Have a look here.
Trailer - Now You See Me
It's like Ocean's Eleven meets the Prestige.
Revolights
This was a Kickstarter campaign that fired up some time ago...and after a few changes and design tweaks, Revolight is finally ready to come to market. We could waste words explaining to you why these are the best bike lights you'll ever own, and most likely the last you'll buy, but we think that seeing these bad-boys in action in the above video is far better than any wordy explanation that we can vomit up. If you're interested, you can get them here.

Purity Ring - Lofticries
This group hails from all places...Edmonton, Alberta. Now...we've been to Edmonton, and are surprised that such creative genius comes from that city, as our experience of Edmonton robbed us of our will to live, let alone our creative spirit. Regardless...this duo has managed to rise above their obvious handicap and release some very, very excellent music in the vein of electronica...often dipping a toe in the experimental pool. The above track is off of their first full length album, titled "Shrines," which is available now through iTunes. Just so eveyone knows...we were joking about Edmonton...just a friendly city rivalry between the prairies and the west coast. It's actually far worse than we described. Oilers suck!
Lacie PetitKey
Never be without you flash storage again; as you are most likely never without your keys. Waterproof, scratch-resistant, and encrypted, the PetiteKey by Lacie comes in 8gb, 16gb, and 32gb variations. Out now.
Windswept by Charles Sowers
What a ingenious and beautiful art installation that uses the wind to create its moving images. You'll see what we mean after you watch the above video. This kinetic installation can be found on the outside of the Randall Museum in San Francisco.

Remembrance Day
In the commonwealth, we will be remembering those who fought and died in the line of duty while struggling for our country in the many wars to date. It is a special day to pay respect to those who sacrificed so much to uphold our freedoms as a country. We wear poppies as an emblem as these poppies grew on the worst battlefields of Flanders in World War I and the bright red colour symbolizes the blood of the battlefield. This Nov. 11th we will be gathered to listen to the bagpipes and memorial speeches that come at this time of year and if you can, we suggest you do the same.
Felt Fiber Cat Bed
We used to own a cat but due to the people we love's allergy to said cats, we don't and will never own one again. This doesn't mean we can't enjoy a good cat accessory from time to time so here we present you a nice felt fiber bed. OK so really we think it would be better for home storage for random accessories but the cat lovers will like it too. Available here.

LudoBites by Ludo Lefevbre
He had it all, Michelin stars and all. He forsook it...opting for a more innovative, creative and less stuffy way to get his food to the people. He invented the pop-up restaurant, essentially a quickstrike or limited version of dining, thereby always changing and always innovating. He even has arguably the best food truck in the business, selling nothing but fried chicken and variations there of. Like all driven people...all that success is not enough, and Ludo has released a book. Aptly titles Ludo Bites, it features stories from the fabled quickstrike restaurants of Ludo's past, and yes, there are recipes. Available everywhere fine books are sold.
The AluRack
We love our MacBook Pro...and use it everyday to bring you all the delicious things of want. But sometimes we wish we had the larger screen that a desktop iMac would give us. We could get ourselves the bright and clear new Thunderbolt display, but then have to deal with a mess of wires; and then what do do with the MacBook. Enter the AluRack...which allows the simple, elegant and unobtrusive way to plug your laptop into the display, and essentially run a slick desktop setup without sacrificing your mobile options. Just Mobile has them, and you can see more and get yours here.

Fuck Yeah Menswear
So you love fashion but you equally love taking the piss out of the well put together hipsters. Perhaps we will never understand our desire to admire and then dismantle but regardless we can enjoy this dichotomy with the new book Fuck Yeah Menswear. Developed by the two guys who have had the tremendously successful blog of the same name, you can enjoy their unique take on fashion. Perhaps this says it best if you are still on the fence: In your hands is an Amazonian blowgun full of deadly knowledge darts ready to be delivered straight to your cranium. You’re about to begin a journey that will end in only one way—with you standing naked in an abandoned ravine watching as your old wardrobe slowly burns. Let this be your illustrated Iliad for dressing better. Don’t sleep. Read Fuck Yeah Menswear. Refer to it. Cite it in your dissertation. Owning this book sends a very clear message to your peers, coworkers, and loved ones: “I’m trill as fuck.” Available through Simon & Schuster.
Kid Cudi - Just What I Am feat. King Chip
A new track from that master of introspective hip-hop, off his forthcoming album "Indicud" which is expected to drop early next year. We're liking the tribute to Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas. As your attorney, we strongly advise that you watch this video.
Gold Dead Serious Pin by Mister

Romantic pottery is not something we come across too often but here we go. By collecting love letters and interpreting, editing and compiling elements, this Canadian designer has made a beautiful vase illustrating strong emotions through braille. And if you don't care about the intent or the flowery words, then you can appreciate a beautiful design and a clean look. Available here.

Converse x Missoni
Sneaker pioneer Converse has, for another year, teamed up with Italian fashion juggernaut Missoni for a collaboration. They of course do there work on the Chuck Taylor, but our favourite is the Aucklan Racer, which has a very fashion forward yet athletic look going for it. We would like to send you to our friends at Livestock if you're interested in learning more, or even getting yourself a pair.

Reigning Champ x Gastown FC
This is about as Vancouver as you get. A super popular and local clothing company born out of the wet West Coast and a football (soccer) club from the same part of town that plays in that afore mentioned weather, get together to make a purpose built capsule collection that makes the requisite football fashion of today's big clubs look rather ostentatious. Take the simple Black Rain training parka pictured above. All the function you need, with none of the unnecessary colour and adornment that you don't. We hear even Wayne Rooney is thinking of ordering one. You can see the entire capsule collection, and learn more about Gastown FC here.
Bruce
If we have to explain to you why this is a must read....well, we're sorry to say that there might be no hope for you. It is the first authorized biography in over 25 years, and the author, Peter Ames Carlin, was given unprecedented access to everything that is Bruce; from his family to his band and everything in between. Out at fine book retailers everywhere.

Craft Plus for iPhone 5
Now that the iPhone 5 has become as ubiquitous as oxygen, the slew of companies trying to capitalize for the insatiable need to accessorize have been filling our inbox with their new offerings. There are many that are over priced and god awful attempts at good design, and we're sure in time you'll find most of these in the bargain bin. There are of course the old stand-bys; the tried and true whose proportions have simply been augmented to fit the new device. Case company More has plenty of those, but didn't seem fit to simply rest on their laurels, they have made some new offerings. Our favourite, partly because of the materials, and partly because it does double duty as a wallet, is the Craft Plus. Available in either black wool felt with a polka dot lining, or in a brown canvas with a gingham lining, the Craft Plus is more in keeping with a stylish handbag or travel wallet rather than a simple phone case. You can see and learn more here.
Kate: The Kate Moss Book
No matter what she does, Kate Moss's career endures. No matter how much time goes by, she continues to be one of the most influential and sought after models in the world. Genetically blessed to have a face that doesn't appear to be ravaged by time, smoke or other unmentionable habits, Kate still graces the covers of magazines and appears in campaigns for some of the most renowned designers of our time. This November, she will be releasing a book documenting her rise to fame with hand picked photography that further demonstrates her timeless beauty and appeal. Fun fact, eight covers were selected and will be shipped at random. Available through Rizzoli.
Trailer - The Bus
Everyone who has ever owned a VW bus loves them. We had one for many years, and not a day goes by that we don't regret the decision to sell. Having owned many cars, not one of them holds a place in our heart and our memories that the bus we owned does to this day. We are constantly looking through classifieds for just the right replacement, and we think it'll be sooner than later that we jump back in the VW bus club. And that is just what it is, a club. We were waved to constantly on the road, stopped in traffic and told the bus was awesome, and stopped at every camp site and curb side parking space to answer questions and give an impromptu tour of the vehicle. Sure...there were mechanical issues here and there, but that is part of the experience, and to be honest, they're far simpler and cheaper to solve than any modern car. It was then just a matter of time that someone immortalized the bus on film in a documentary dedicated to the little bus that could, and the people that own and love them. The film has played the Big Sky Film Festival in Montana, the Full Frame Documentary Festival in Durham, and the Maui Film Festival, all giving glowing reviews. Out on DVD soon, you can pre-order your copy here, and see for yourself what all the fuss is about.
